At the end of the final year, students have their viva exam and defend their work built around a personal set of themes in front of a jury of examiners external to the school.

Decorative painting’s applications are numerous (private interior decoration, decorative painting in public or private spaces, on stands or venues, etc.).

A decorative painter uses various ways to carry out his orders : material imitation, marquetry, painted furniture, imitation of relief and ornament, realistic and decorative trompe-l’œil, patinas, gold plating, etc.

That explains why the know-how of imitation of material is as much linked to the sense of aesthetics as to the essential learning of the traditional techniques.
